“Hi all! My name is Antonella Sanzeri (@sanzeria). I’m a proud wife, mother, CPA, and newbie blogger living in the suburbs of Chicago. I’m always on the go, but my favorite thing to do is spend time with my little family. My husband and I have the most handsome, sweet & goofy almost-two-year-old, Francesco. Motherhood is my biggest dream come true. I’m a full time working mom with a career as a Certified Public Accountant. I spend my week proudly working for my father’s firm that he built after his parents settled here from Italy. Family is the most important thing to me and I’m lucky to have such an amazing support system to help me achieve all of my goals. My wheels are always turning, I’m constantly researching products and brands that I love, and share them all on my blog (www.siamiablog.com). I’m new to the blogging world, but truly enjoy showcasing my love for fashion, designer bags & jewelry, beauty, home décor, motherhood & travel in my “spare” time. As my blog progresses, I hope to share more areas of my life and help all the other hard-working mamma’s out there!

My skincare routine is something that I am newly passionate about. After turning 30 and having my son, my skin dramatically changed and I felt I had nowhere to turn! I went from almost never having a pimple to having painful cystic acne. I have tried so many different brands but the one my skin has responded to most is Sunday Riley. I used their Ceramic Slip Cleanser and Good Genes products religiously. The best thing about this line is that it’s all-natural and gently exfoliates the skin (which I never used to do). If I go through a period where my skin is stressed, you can actually mix the two together, apply it on your face as a mask, and your skin will clear up in a matter of days. I also used Murad Rapid Relief Spot Treatment when I have a few blemishes coming up. This stops the breakouts right in their tracks. I can’t swear by these products more!

I have tried several other Sunday Riley products. A lot of their line contains Vitamin C, which has helped make my skin become more even and hydrated. Post-pregnancy, I suffer from hyper-pigmentation (especially under my eyes and on my cheeks). It can make me look so blotchy if I don’t properly treat it. All of their Vitamin C products have worked wonders and I’ve enjoyed rotating and trying their whole line. I really wanted to find a way to treat my skin right, rather than covering it up with makeup for the rest of my life!

I’ve also learned the importance of treating your under-eye area right. When you become a mom, sleep is almost last on the priority list, so you don’t want bags or fine lines to develop in that area! My under-eyes were looking so tired and dry. I love to treat them right with some Lancôme Advanced Génifique Yeux Eye Illuminator or The Ordinary Caffeine Solution. Lancôme gives you a really nice pearl applicator that cools and massages the area nicely.

My makeup routine is pretty minimal. I like to just use a tinted moisturizer (like Laura Mercier’s oil-free version) or a super light foundation (Clinique Even Better Foundation). I rotate between a few powder foundations but am currently loving the new Bare Minerals pressed powder (it’s a new formula and doesn’t make me break out like their old version). I use Lancôme’s concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes with a Beauty Blender and finish the under-eye area with some Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder. My number one beauty product is a high quality mascara (secret tip: if you apply Castor Oil to your lashes before bed, it will make them grow thicker and longer naturally)! I also love to fill in my brows with Anastasia’s brow duo powder, and apply a little blush (Mac’s Dessert Rose) and Chanel’s bronzer are my favorite for that little extra glow and polished look.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that skincare is second to none. Your makeup will NOT apply properly if your skin isn’t taken care of first. So make sure you find a routine that you love. Beauty products are expensive so you don’t want to waste your money!”
